About Me

I am the guy behind @BruneiTweet. Yup - that's me. In short, I am born-and-bred Bruneian who grew up in Kuala Belait and went to school in Seria. I then completed college and undergraduate studies overseas, and in 2009, I completed a Masters of Business Administration with a keen interest in Marketing. Having spent time away from home outside of Brunei Darussalam, I have learnt that, to know a country is to know the people. I have learnt that to truly appreciate a new place is to see it through their eyes, to listen to their stories, to taste, smell, do and feel as they do.
Everyone has a Story, and Projek Brunei features the stories, music, photography and art of locals and of people who have lived or worked in Brunei Darussalam before. Join me on this projek, a projek to discover and rediscover this country they call the Abode of Peace, the Heart of Borneo, this place they call the Kingdom of Unexpected Treasures...through the stories of the People.

On 15th September 2010, I received a tweet from CNN inviting me to submit an iReport about Brunei Darussalam as part of their Global Challenge. With the help of my Twitter followers, I submitted a three-part pictorial on "A Day in the Life of a Bruneian" on 18th September 2010, and on 5th October, I was featured on CNN's official iReport blog.
